Jangchub Phutsok Ling

About the Center
Jangchub Phutsok Ling Buddhist Center, which translates to "Buddha Land of Completed Enlightenment" in Tibetan, was founded in 1997 as a Tibetan Buddhist center under the Karma Kagyu Lineage. In recent years, the center has actively engaged in social welfare initiatives and collaborated with local voluntary organizations to serve underprivileged individuals and provide care for the elderly living alone. The aim is to integrate Buddhism into the community for the benefit of all sentient beings.
History of Jangchub Phutsok Ling Buddhist Center
During Lama Kelzang's early days in Hong Kong, he received support from various Buddhist friends and donators in establishing the center in Lockhart Road, Wanchai in 1997. In 2006, because of the increase of number of disciples, the center was temporarily relocated to Sun Wui Road in Causeway Bay (which was borrowed by the donor). In 2011, the Center acquired a permanent location at Elite Industrial Center on Cheung Sha Wan Road.
With the support and assistance of Dharma friends and donors, Lama Kelzang established a branch of the center on Lamma Island in 2010 (now closed). The Center commitment lies in promoting Vajrayana Buddhism and actively participating in social welfare activities. The Center holds regular Dharma teachings and practices classes every month. The Center was founded for 26 years. During the stay of Lama Kelzang in Hong Kong, in addition to spreading the Buddha's teachings, the Center also initiated the Sangye Migyur Ling Foundation in 2010 to construct the Sangye Migyur Ling Lhakhang in Phuentsholing Bhutan. Over the course of 12 years, construction of Sangye Mighur Ling Lhakang finally completed in 2022. The opening ceremony was completed with full of blessings. Now, more than 50 monks of various backgrounds have resided in the monastery, dedicating themselves to study and preparing to be future pillars for the propagation of Buddhism and to benefit all sentient beings.
Lama Kelzang primarily focuses on the practice of Dharma within the three wisdoms of Buddhism (Learning, contemplating and practicing). With over 30 years of teaching experience in Hong Kong, he has imparted invaluable practices to his disciples, including Powa, Amitabha, Four Guru Yoga, and he had also held the Vajrayana Retreat. The Center, now in its 26th year, continues to serve as a platform for disseminating these teachings.
